Its quaint town square offers a general store, library, a breakfast diner and a full service dinner restaurant (BYOB), not to mention freshly baked cinnamon rolls and sandwiches for picnics at the general store. Shuffle board, tennis and a gift shop are also on the list of things to do. And just minutes beyond are all the major necessities that a vacationing family would require. From your front door it is only 1 ½ miles north to Old Orchard Beach and 1 mile south to Ferry Beach State Park ,just beyond that, 20 minutes or less, is Kennebunkport. For a day in the big city, Portland is only 30 minutes away and Boston is less than 2 hours.
Portland offers unique fine dining, the historic Old Port and the Sea Dogs minor league baseball team. LL Bean and outlet shopping are in Freeport, just north of Portland.
