At Dolphin House you will watch the dolphins frolic in the beautiful Pacific Ocean at this incredible beach property in Mandalay Shores Beach. Dolphin House was built with comfort and relaxation in mind and no detail was overlooked. Once you walk in the double door entry, you will feel right at Home from the Tumbled Marble floors, cut Berber carpeting to the Gourmet kitchen, this is truly a spectacular place to enjoy your vacation.
The main living area is upstairs which consists of the Living room, Kitchen, Dining room, Master Suite, the Dolphin Room, an additional bedroom and bathroom. The Living room, Dining room and Kitchen are the central hub of this home and will accommodate up to twelve at each location. The Kitchen is spectacular with it's Center Island and seating that's perfect for morning coffee or afternoon libations with spectacular Ocean Views. Off of the living room and kitchen is a deck with beautiful patio furniture and unbelievable Ocean Views. The Master Suite/Retreat is truly breathtaking. Walk through double eight-foot tall arch top doors into your retreat, large four post king sized canopy bed, and T.V. & CD player. The huge master bathroom has a 6' spa tub, oversized open shower, his & hers sinks and hers vanity table, separate water closet and bidet, and walk in closet. Walk through another pair of eight-foot tall arch top doors onto your own private Ocean View balcony. The "Dolphin Room" is the second bedroom upstairs which is painted blue and has a beautiful underwater mural painted on the walls and a full sized bed. The second bathroom has an elegant pedestal sink and full sized shower.
The first floor has two bedrooms and another den. Both bedrooms have queen beds with dressers and large closets in each. The downstairs den has couches, window seat and TV. There is one large full bath with separate bathtub and shower and room enough for several people. The laundry room has a utility sink and washer and dryer for your use.
The Pacific Ocean is only a few feet from The Dolphin House and you have access from a breezeway to clean semi-private beaches of Mandalay Shores, also an excellent surf spot.

I wrote a previous review regarding not receiving my deposit. I've now received it. Aside from this issue, our stay was pleasant, house was nice and clean and close to the beach.
Three Mommies and 6 Kids needed a beach getaway at the last minute!! Thankfully, we found the Dolphin House and Scott, the owner, was able to accommodate us! When I told my friends about the price and they saw the pictures, they said it seemed too good to be true. But as soon as I opened up the house, my kids ran around the house and asked if I could buy the house for them!!!(They're only 4 and 7 years old!!) The house is very spacious and the set up is very unique. We loved the huge kitchen and how it opened up to the family room so that we could cook and be with everyone. We loved the master room, master bath and the enormous walk in closet! The portable mattress in the Dolphin Room was an added plus as we moved it into the master room so that the younger kids could all sleep together. While we were there, we walked to the beach about 3 times a day. It literally takes 15 seconds to walk to the sand/beach and how convenient it was to go back and forth if we needed more towels, food or drinks. Thank you so much for making our getaway so special and memorable!!! We were all very sad to leave, but promised our kids that we would go back! If you're looking for a comfortable, relaxing and spacious home, (and unbelievably affordable!), Dolphin House is it!!!!!
We had an absolutely wonderful time at the Dolphin House. There were a total of 12 people who slept very comfortably in this very spacious beach house. Everything from the kitchen to the bedrooms, to the master suite, and the bathrooms was clean, newly remodeled and very well-maintained. The best part was that the beach is literally a one-house distance from the Dolphin House! My family, including four little ones, absolutely loved the luxury of hopping over to the water with ease. The outdoor shower (with hot and cold water) was perfect!!! No mess inside and the shower is directly next to the laundry room entrance! What more can you ask for!?!? Perfect! I especially liked the comfort of relaxing on the upstairs deck, which is nicely furnished and provides a great view of the beach. We would definitely love to go back to the Dolphin house for the next family vacation. Thank you Dolphin House!
After reading a few of the reviews here, I have to admit I was a bit skeptical. But my options were limited as I had guests visiting from Switzerland, and I had to act swiftly. I called and spoke to Scott and he was very cordial and accomodating. I wired him my deposit, filled out the application, and prepared for my trip to oxnard. We were a party of 12. Nine adults and 3 kids. The area is beautiful for anyone who wants to get away and enjoy the comfort of a beach setting without all the hussle and bustle of being in a metropolitan area. We went on memorial day weekend and were amazed at how few people were at the beach. Living in LA, you can see how shocking this was to me, as we enjoyed some nice R & R. The house itself was very clean and had all the amenities need to provide our group with a comfortable stay. The water ran hot for showers, the TV and all the appliances worked ( Top of the line Thermador and Viking might I add). The balcony view was nice as was the upper deck, although we didn't use it much. The house is steps from the sand and overall our stay was superb. Upon completing our trip, Scott informed me that he would visit the house to make sure everything was intact. He completed that task and properly refunded my deposit. I had no problems and will be sure to enjoy his wonderful house in the near future. Thanks again
