Escape to this cozy log cabin on 16 acres of secluded woodlands. Take
a stroll down to the pond, or enjoy beautiful mountain views and
spectacular sunsets from the huge outdoor deck -- complete with gas
grill, picnic table, and log porch swing. The cabin offers a
spacious open beam ceiling and spectacular forest and mountain views.
During the fall, you'll lose yourself in the splendor of autumn
colors. The spring brings a forest full of rhododendrons, dogwood
blossoms, and abundant wildlife. And the summer fills the property
with lush green foliage. The cabin is fully furnished, and boasts a
spacious living room with a 27-inch TV, a DVD library, and satellite
programming. Romantic evenings can be enjoyed in front of the cozy,
wood-burning stove. Also on the first floor is a large bedroom with
two twin beds that may be pushed together to form a comfortable
king-size bed. A twig rocker offers a comfortable spot to read, and
to overlook the beautiful surroundings from the many windows.
Upstairs is a comfortable loft -- complete with cozy reading nook and
a full bathroom. Awaken to the beauty of the forest through the giant
chalet windows. Finally, slip down to the game room and play a game
of pool on the competition-grade pool table. Or enjoy a blast from
the past on the vintage, arcade-style video games (selection of 9
vintage games) This is the perfect location for a family vacation or
a romantic getaway. The large property allows children plenty of room
to run, while it also provides seclusion for an intimate retreat.
You're sure to enjoy the abundance of wildlife including deer,
raccoon, squirrels, and -- for the bird enthusiast, a huge variety of
songbirds! A short walk will take you to a private, stocked fishing
pond. Within a short drive is award-winning golfing, as well as
hiking trails, waterfalls, boating, Chimney Rock Park, restaurants
for fine dining, swimming beaches, and Lake Lure. Nearby activities
include tubing, horseback riding, and shopping. Within a 45-minute
drive you can enjoy all that Asheville has to offer including fine
dining, arts, antique shopping, the historic Biltmore Estate, and the
Asheville Nature Center. Finally, a 90-minute drive will take you to
Sugar Mountain, one of the premier ski slopes in North Carolina.
Along the way, be sure to stop off on the scenic Blue Ridge Parkway
for a spectacular diversion! Visit www.nccabin.com for additional
