First you need to know that Brazil is in the Southern hemisphere and has opposite seasons. The best months to travel to the southern parts of Brazil, where our condos are, are December through Carnival (varies year to year). These are the months when the Brazilians vacation and most of the tourism happens. You will be able to “people watch” and check out the beautiful people and the famous bikinis on the beaches! November and March thru May can be nice but the beaches will be fairly deserted and there will not be must tourism happening. To get the full experience we recommend the December thru March. If you are using your mileage, most airlines have “sister” airlines that fly to Brazil. To travel you can reserve your flights 3 months to 1 year in advance. 40K miles with Continental, American, Delta, and Alaska will take you all the way to Sao Paulo. You will need to buy a separate ticket for travel inside Brazil. Florianopolis is the name of the city you want as your destination. United Airlines will get you all the way to your final destination for 50K miles. If you are purchasing a ticket, buy it to travel to your final destination. It will be cheaper to buy it that way. Depending on the season the ticket will cost you around $800-$1300 round trip from anywhere in the USA. Accommodations. We have 3 brand new condos that sleep up to 4 people each. They are fully furnished, and have washer/dryer in each unit. All you need to supply is food and beverage. They are 300 meters from the beach. The price for a 2 week stay is $1000 each condo. We also have a furnished house that is 100 meters from the beach. This large house can accommodate up to 14 people and cost $2200 for a 2 week stay. The town is called Palmas.
