Cretan Village House with Internet Connection

The charming traditional Villa is situated in the heart of the historic village of Armenoi, 7km south of Rethymno. It is 300 years old and has been brilliantly renovated, keeping its traditional architectural features and the charming atmosphere of older Cretan village houses. The house is a two floor house 165sqm in size with three bedrooms and can accommodate 6-8 people. It also has a private chlorine-free swimming pool and parking space as well as central heating when needed. Furthermore it is specially designed to facilitate access to the disabled. The house opens to a large stone paved patio and a secluded mature garden, where various fruit trees grows along with herbs and an abundance of colorful flowers, having also a dining space, barbeque and two more sitting areas. On the ground floor there is a large open plan kitchen and dinning area, which is connected to the sitting room with a beautiful wide stone arc, with a fireplace, TV, DVD player and Hi-Fi system. The elegant kitchen is fully equipped with cooker, fridge, dishwasher, microwave, boiler, coffeemaker and toaster. There is also a small WC with a washing-drying machine. Further there is a twin bedroom with en-suite bathroom, all specially adapted to the needs of wheel chair users. On the first floor there is a twin bedroom with its own balcony. The second bedroom has a double bed and opens to a shared terrace with a coffee table and chairs. An oak staircase leads from this bedroom to mezzanine, that functions as a small sitting room and study or it can also be turned into a twin bedroom for children. There is also one bathroom/WC with both bath and shower. Air conditioning is not necessary, because of the thick stone walls, but fans are provided instead, if an extra measure is desired. The villa also offers free fast internet connection. PETS are welcome Within a few minutes walk there are several tavernas, a super market and a gas station. The famous Late Minoan Cemetery is just 1km away, while some of the most magnificent beaches of southern Crete are only 30km away.
