Hatswell Meadows – Devon 4 Bedrooms Sleeps 8/10 This charming and luxurious home is set in a private 20 acre oasis, offering a unique opportunity to experience a fabulous architect designed home nestled within the picturesque Exe Valley in the heart of Devon. This deluxe house is perfect for a family holiday. Upon arrival the owners greet you with a traditional home made Cream Tea and a tour of the property. In colder months the log fire is burning which combined with under floor heating completes the warm welcome. Our home provides blend of antique and contemporary furnishings, with limestone and oak floors; a hand crafted Hamstone fireplace and a bespoke galleried stairwell. It is said that the Master craftsmen who provided the iron work for the stairs went onto work on the restoration of Windsor Castle. The master bedroom features a large imported American, sleigh bed. The enormous ensuite has twin basins set in honeyed marble, a separate shower and man sized bath. The guest suite has a Laura Ashley, King size, brass 4 poster bed and a modern Sottini bathroom set in mono chrome marble. At the heart of any home is a warm kitchen and ours is no exception. Cosmopolitan, with a French feel, an English Aga and American fridge/freezer. As well as informal dining around the kitchen table there is a formal dining hall. The table seats 10 in comfort; a choice of crockery and glasses to suit all occasions are provided. The mezzanine landing leads to the terrace, garden and elevated patio. The lounge has an open fireplace, large screen TV with home cinema. French doors lead to the lawned garden, where you can make use of the croquet set.
