The Ormond Ocean House is directly ocean front, with views from nearly every room and window. So incredibly comfortable and peaceful - yet in the midst of the fun of Daytona and Ormond. The ocean front hot tub is terrific. The hand-made Adirondack chairs with foot rests and tables for drinks and games, so perfect. The yard is fenced for the children and pets. A lovely gazebo on the ocean welcomes you to read, relax and take it all in. Please keep in mind that our home is pet friendly, but Volusia County does not permit pets on the beach (cars are OK, but not dogs? What's up with that, Sponge Bob?) The rooms are all beautifully decorated, with great style, but also very much 'at home'. Four big beautiful bedrooms and two baths. An ocean front sitting room, with original heart pine paneling - you'll find the same in the Ocean Master Bedroom upstairs. This home was built in 1940 - see the original photos below. We've kept the old world charm, but updated it with a beach feeling. Walk in the front door to the center hall and foyer. You'll note the original pine floors throughout the house right away. To the left is the dining room and kitchen, to the right is the living room and the ocean room. There's a beach bath behind the stairway, with access from the yard for sandy showers. How cool! We used all of the original furniture, painted, reupholstered, re-designed, added, tweaked and had so much fun making this house great for your family. The kitchen and dining rooms are stocked with lots of neat finds from Horchow! And, well-set for cooking for your family. Call Chef Kitty and ask her to come cook for you! The living room is oh so comfortable with an entertainment center, dvd, vcr, stereo, DSL, toll free unlimited long distance. A writing desk, so that you can use our postcards and write to all of your friends about the great time you're having at the Ormond Ocean House! Even a library of books and games for you and the kids. The Ocean Room has most wonderful views and access by a sweet old french door to the beach and the OCEAN FRONT HOT TUB. How cool is this? I love to serve my meals and guests here in the ocean room, where there is seating for six at ocean front tables, and a sofa to kick back in and put your feet up! Love this! Upstairs you'll find four dreamy bedrooms and a bath with the old, original tile and cast iron tub. A full laundry room too! Each bedroom has it's own TV and phone.
