There is a theater on SSI, two grocery stores, many excellant restaurants. Kayaking tours available, bicycle rentals, fishing trips easily scheduled. Golf on this island is remarkable. There are two public courses here on SSI. The Hampton Club and Sea Palms Resort. Jekyll Island also has a golf course and Brunswick now has two great courses. Want to take a great day trip? We are close to Jacksonville, Fernandina Beach, Amelia Island, Hilton Head, and Savannah. Great historical sites throughout the area. St. Simons has Fort Frederica, Fort King George is about 35 miles away and it has recreated the fort and out buildings. The historic forts near Savnnah and St. Augustine are worth the trip. Other day trips that you will not want to miss are a trip to Cumberland Island or Sapelo Island. Both trips require a ferry boat ride. Ocean Walk has two pools, two tennis courts, business and fitness center. Also WIFI available as is a hard line if you need to work while here.
