Elk Hollow

Elk Hollow is a new, comfortably decorated, two bedroom, two bath cabin with spacious covered decks and surrounded by tall pines. It has all the comforts of home, and it sits on five lots allowing you room to enjoy the sunshine, mountain views, and private wooded location. We call our cabin "Elk Hollow" because at dusk and dawn, elk parade down the hill past our cabin and into the hollow below. In the greatroom, the ledge-rock fireplace will warm you during chilly evenings. The well-equipped kitchen is a chef's delight. We have dishes, and glasses for twelve. Coffee, spices, condiments, and all paper products for your use. Use the gas barbecue grill on the deck while enjoying a spectacular view of the Sacremento Mountains. There's a pond just down the road from the cabin where you can feed the fish. You can usually find them hungry early in the morning. They like small pieces of bread to eat. You can also feed the birds. We keep a large container of birdseed at the cabin for your use. Elk Hollow is located in a private community about six miles east of Cloudcroft. Our community does not have steep hills, so driving and walking is a pleasure. Our roads are maintained year round, but it is advisable to use a four-wheel drive, front-wheel drive, or chains during winter months. There is abundant wildlife in the area. You may see elk, whitetail deer, mule dear, bears, raccoons, chipmunks, rabbits, and a huge variety of birds including hummingbirds.
