Enjoy elegance and comfort in our two bedroom, two bathroom condo. The wood stove in the living room comes supplied with local pinon and juniper wood, combining the best and original smells of the Southwest. The kitchen is fully equipped with all of your cooking needs, including dishwasher, microwave, and service for eight. The local ridges--snowy in winter, green in summer, and burnished gold in autumn--are visible from all of the windows of this condo. The downstairs has wood floors throughout, comfortable couches and an entertainment center with TV (sorry, no cable), DVD and CD player. There is also a bathroom with a shower and a washer/dryer on this level for your convenience. Upstairs are the two bedrooms and other full bathroom. In one bedroom you'll find a queen bed, and in the other two twins. Both come with plenty of extra blankets. There is a private patio overlooking a shared lawn and garden in the backyard, where local birds gather seeds and nectar from feeders and flowers. Across the street from this condo is the beautiful Animas River, one of the last wild rivers in the west. You are likely to see deer, elk, geese, blue heron as well as horses and cows gathering in the shade of the cottonwoods. This condo is just minutes from historic downtown Durango, with first class shopping, art, and restaurants. You are also minutes from a public, four mile river path, hiking trails, fishing, rafting, golf, and more. Within thirty minutes to an hour is downhill and cross country skiing, snowmobiling, more golf, alpine hikes in the majestic San Juan Mountains. The owners of this condo are longtime Durango locals and are happy to offer suggestions on restaurants, recreation, scenic drives and activities for families.
