The town Luz is located about 60 miles from the Faro airport in the Lagos district. Once a small fishing village, Luz is now home to many tourists throughout the whole year. Though a growing town, Luz manages to keep the small town flair of yesterday and still every night the elders will meet at the beaches to have their small talks, re-live their pasts and watch the sunset. Luz has one of the most beautiful sand beaches and a cliff beach. In the west, one can find small coves for romantic outings. The beach walk invites with its many boutiques, restaurants and cafes. Small shops and markets, called minimerkados, banks, pharmacy, post office, electro shop provide for everyday life. A physician and 24 hours medical care is available in the event that urgent care is required Apartamento Pintainho is located in small resort area, approximately 8 walking minutes from the cliff beaches, and is maintained by the Ocean Club Resort. The Ocean Club is open year-round, and offers 24 hour reception service. The club has 3 outdoor pools, 1 indoor pool, 1 kiddie pool as well as 2 tennis courts and a multi cultural restaurant. Within short distance is a supermarket, farmers market, butcher, pharmacy, etc. The apartment is located on the second floor (elevator) and easily accomodates 4 - 5 people. It offers 2 bedrooms, 1 bath, fully equipped kitchen, living room, dining room, balcony with oceanview, and a vehicle parking spot. We were very considerate in equipping our apartment comfortably and with all amenities you would excpect to have a wonderful vacation, as we use this as our home many weeks out of the year. This home has enough dishes to accomodate 6 people, linen, and towels, satellite TV and telephone. Cleaning is provided twice weekly and is included in the price. Crib and highchair rental is available through the Ocean Club.
