Property Description

Well-maintained, private cottage with original 1917 features. Small (@1300 sq ft ) furnished w/ antiques, books, textiles. NO TV-- just the sounds of the shore. Rented only once before, this is very much the home of a retired marine scientist and a culinary writer. It has some real quirks--no interior staircase to the the washer/dryer in the basement, and would be awkward for the elderly or anyone with children (& big laundry needs). The basement is above-ground, so the first floor is reached by one of two exterior sets of stairs (see main photo). The main bath (with shower only) is upstairs; half-bath is downstairs. There is an outdoor shower, so you can walk back from the beach to rinse off. Pretty, but small, yard (owners like to garden). Off-street parking for two cars. Boaters, take note: There are 4 marinas within 2 miles.
