Also, there are many outdoor activities in Acadia National Park including hiking, bike trails, public beaches and more. Wildlife is abundant. Don't be surprised if you spot a whale from the top of Cadillac Mountain. Bar Harbor and Blue Hill are a short drive away where you'll want to go for great food, shopping and lots to do. Whale watching, boat rides, guided kayak tours, and even an ocean voyage to Nova Scotia are just some of the activities to consider. Several golf courses are within an easy drive. Eating fresh lobster is another great pastime. Our local lobsterman, Perry, is just down the road. He’ll cook ‘em up for you or you can eat them there while sitting out over the water.
