Mountain Valley Retreat is a four bedroom, one bath cabin that sleeps up to six people. Located in the heart of Pocahontas County, West Virginia nestled between Snowshoe Ski Resort and the quaint town of Marlinton, our private getaway is convenient to everything this wonderful area has to offer! Located 6 miles off the beaten path our cabin is truly a private, relaxing retreat comparable to a Bed and Breakfast.

Recently remodeled from head to toe our upgraded cabin is less than 30 minutes from snowshoe ski resort – get away from the craziness of the mountain after a long day of skiing and relax surrounded by the beauty of our tranquil mountain retreat. Surrounded by National Forest, our cabin is also perfect for a romantic winter getaway, a family trip or a guys or girls weekend away from it all. Mountain Valley Retreat offers everything for a relaxing getaway.

Our family room features a cozy wood burning stove perfect for those snowy days. In our family room you can curl up and read a good book, surf the internet with our WiFi connection, watch Direct TV or simply look out the window at the changing leaves or falling snow. Cook a family breakfast or dinner in our recently remodeled kitchen - our kitchen cupboards are fully stocked with all the cooking items you need to put together a great meal. Our kitchen is similar to yours at home featuring a full-sized refrigerator and full-sized stove, microwave, toaster and coffeepot. We even have a Senseo coffee maker if that is your pleasure!

Off of the kitchen there is a large and inviting deck recetly updated in 2009 with gas grill and picnic table perfect for eating outside on warm summer days. Our remodeled bathroom features an entirely new shower, toilet and vanity as well as heated floors great for those cold winter days!

There are two bedrooms on the first floor with one bedroom hosting a queen bed and the other bedroom hosting a double bed. A spiral staircase off of the family room leads you to two addtional loft style bedrooms on the second floor with one bedroom featuring two twin beds and the other bedroom featuring a king sized bed.
