KITCHEN-WORKING AREA The preparation area of this gourmet kitchen has ample counter space and all new appliances (dishwasher, large refrigerator/freezer gas range,and microwave oven). There are pots and pans of every description, new china, silverware and table linens (service for twelve). Nearby is a large laundry closet with a new washer and dryer.
KITCHEN-DINING AREA With three large windows, the dining area is warm and sunny. The sideboard, table for eight, shelves built into the two foot thick walls, and two candle chandeliers make it a wonderful place to entertain. The tile floor, fireplace with two easy chairs and window seat make it a wonderful place to lounge.
MASTER BEDROOM The extraordinary master bedroom has a beamed ceiling and Moroccan rugs. There are built in desks for two with high-speed computer access, a double bed (with two sets of new bed linens), dressing table and a pier mirror. The enormous master bathroom has a fireplace, many closets, a huge tile bathtub/shower and a big supply of towels. Outside, on the stair landing is a powder room.
MASTER BEDROOM FIREPLACE The master bedroom has a baronial stone fireplace, surmounted by a huge antique mirror. The easy chairs and ottoman in front of it provide an intimate space for reading and talking.
TERRACE The terrace is accessed from the master bedroom through a Dutch door. It has a table, chairs, a small fountain and many flowers. From it there is a view of old rooftops and gardens. It’s a great place for intimate breakfasts and lunches, small barbecues in the evening or just lounging or reading.
BEDROOM #2 The original and beautifu circular wood staircase leads to the towen bedrooms. The second floor bedroom suiteis bright and airy with a new double bed, desk, fireplace, and its own complete bathroom with a tiled shower.
BEDROOM #3 Bedroom #3, on the next floor of the tower, has an antique iron trundle bed and a desk. It too has a fireplace. There are windows on both sides of this tower room. Outside it, in the stair hall, is a half bathroom.
BEDROOM #4 This octagonal room on the top floor of the tower has an intricately beamed conical ceiling and a double bed. From it, there are superb views of the Abbaye and surrounding countryside.

Property Description

This picturesque stone house in the heart of the chateau country was built in 16th century for the chief clerk of the ancient Abbaye (11th century). The house is opposite the Abbaye which has gardens and ponds, a magnificent 17 century military academy, chocalate and early French aircraft museums. The house with four double bedrooms, two whole and two half baths, all new appliances and a gourmet kitchen was completely renovated last year. It is located in a charming village between the Loire and Cher rivers south of Blois. Nearby you can swim, boat, baloon, visit chateaux, wineries, mushroom caves, etc.
