Mark & Jana, we are so pleased that you were able to accommodate us for our small family reunion. We come from Colorado, Las Vegas, Los Angeles, & Maui. We traveled to Canada and Washington was our last stop to end the vacation. The chalet turned out to be an absolute treasure. The place was exceptionally clean and quiet. The kitchen was huge and extremely well stocked to cook an elaborate meal, not to mention the BBQ grill just outside on the deck. The dining table was large enough for the 6 of us to dine and play board games, which was also provided for the rainy days. Mark & Jana our host, was most helpful with information. They pointed out the bald eagleís nest just across the lake and provided a telescope for us to use to watch the bird daily. Mark & Jana also gave us information about the quaint little town of Eatonville. Just minutes away, we shopped at the local grocery store and ate twice at a family owned cafe. The place was small, but great service and good quality food. We will continue to talk about this vacation. We could not have been more pleased with the way things went, the weather and the wildlife. (Northwest Trek, a must see, 5 minutes away) The accuracy of your description and pictures does it well. It certainly was a home away from home with everything we needed on a lake. On the lower deck, we built a fire and roasted marshmallows, the use of the peddle boat and row boat was a plus. We caught and released a small perch, thatís an adventure, but so much fun. This was the best part of our travel plans. What a pleasant experience all around. Totally different experience from Hawaiian Islands where Iím from and I loved it. Mahalo Nui Loa!
For my own selfish reasons, I would love to say our stay was horrible, because that means this piece of paradise would never be booked when we wanted a weekend getaway, but I can't do that to the owners. For the past two summers (and hopefully every summer to come), my daughters and I, along with my friend and her two daughers, have stayed in Mark and Jena's cabin, and it has been perfect. Everything you need is here. Your own private dock, with plenty of seating, your private deck, again, with plenty of seating, and a kitchen that has just about everything. It's a very quiet lake, so no need to worry about about party goers running over your children in the water. As I told Mark, we'll be back again, and again.
We stayed at Ohop Lake Chalet during the perfect moment of fall. My husband and I were able to relax and enjoy the abundance of nature and pure beauty surrounding us. The chalet is warm, inviting and full of anything we could think of needing. Mark and Jana, thank you for sharing your slice of heaven with us.
We stayed here Father's Day weekend this year and had such a wonderful time we booked a return trip for last weekend. WOW!!! We love this place. The chalet is clean, comfortable, and has everything we could possibly need. Although the cabin itself is amazing it's what's outside that we love the most. The decks and dock on the lake are so perfect. The first time we stayed it was for a father/daughter fishing weekend and we caught several good sized trout right from the dock. The second time was for a girls weekend and we jumped from the dock to cool in the water, swam in the lake, roasted smores, and relaxed on the decks. Mark and Jana the owners are excellent to deal with as well. I would recommend this Ohop Lake Chalet to anyone looking for a lakeside cabin rental. As a matter of fact we would love to return next year.
My family and I stayed at the Ohop Lake Chalet last weekend. We had a great time! The weather was perfect, the lake was beautiful, the Chalet had everything we could have asked for. It was very clean, comfortable and homey. We enjoyed lunch on deck and relaxing by the water. My only complaint was that we didn't get to spend enough time there. We hope to go back again.
I wanted to start off the new year with a nice quiet weekend. I got exactly what I wanted. I watched the moon rise over the lake each night. I listened to the ducks each morning. I enjoyed a good book by the roaring fire. I could not have asked for a better time. This was my second stay at the cabin, my first was with 7 friends, this stay, with just my mom...it was perfect for both!
We had a wonderful stay at the chalet. The weather was actually summer like compared to all the rain we had been having. The lake was peaceful and fishing was wonderful--our 8 year old caught several fish too small to eat but fun nonetheless! The house was comfortable and relaxing and so quiet in the trees. Thank you for a great get-away weekend from our crazy lives!
Our family of 7 arrived at the Ohop Lake Chalet, late on Christmas eve, to spend four days celebrating the holiday, and relaxing. We were so excited when we came in, as Mark & Jana had a decorated, lit Christmas tree to greet us. The whole cabin had holiday decorations, and was very cozy. There was plenty of sleeping room for all of us, and the kitchen was well stocked with kitchen items, so we could cook our holiday meals. It was cold and clear while we were there, and going on the deck in the morning, the mist was rising from the lake, it was beautiful. We had the wood stove burning, had plenty of games, and movies, to keep everyone entertained. It was a wonderful holiday to remember.
My family stayed at the Lake Chalet for a long weekend and we had a wonderful time! Amenities were great and I can't think of any one thing we needed that wasn't provided at the cabin. Comfortable beds and plenty of room. We were able to relax, cook, play and have a wonderful time. The kids especially enjoyed the dock and paddle boat. Games, wood stove, fire pit all of it made for a great experience where we were able to enjoy each other's company in a comfortable setting. Mark and Jana were great to deal with and worked with our special requests very nicely. WE WILL BE BACK!
