This is a large (5bed/3bath) older beach house in one of the least developed, least visited, least touristy places left on the Florida Coast. The house has a very unique setting, it is located on a very narrow peninsula and the lot it sits on extends from the Gulf of Mexico to the Alligator Harbor (a bay). The lot is over an acre and 110 feet wide, this gives you 2 private beaches! The house was built in the 50’s and had fallen into disrepair; it was more or less abandoned until recently. We have restored the house as nearly as we could to its original condition. Wood floors, walls and ceilings no sheet rock or carpeting in this house, just nice old pine and cypress. This is a great place to swim, walk the beach, fish and relax. We don’t have many of the “attractions” of Florida’s more developed places. No tee shirt shops, beach bars, tattoo parlors, or any thing of the like. There is not a traffic light in the county and the nearest McDonalds is 35 miles away (we do have some good local places with great seafood a lot closer). There are however a lot of great places to visit like Bald Point, Ochlocknee River, and Wakulla Springs State Parks; St Marks and St Vincent’s National Wildlife Refuges; Tate’s Hell Swamp and the Apalachicola National Forest.
