our experience with this cottage was good. We had nice weather for a couples of days, good fishing, wonderful biking and walking experience. This cottage is very clean and well equipped. The owner were very helpful and answer our questions promptly. The only critique we have is the second bedroom, no window, and the basement was dark. However the upper level is great for a couple. Thanks you.
This cottage is as good as advertised.Cottage is very clean and spacious. The neighborhood is very quiet, the only thing we heard were the Sandhill cranes. The deck and river are great for relaxing and fishing, and sitting by the firepit at night.Plenty of places for the women to shop and the folks of Princeton couldn't be nicer.Don't forget to visit the Amish comm and the Saturday flea market.I highly recommend a stay here,we will be back,Thanks Traci
This truly is the perfect location without the hustle and bustle, yet offering all the amenities of larger towns. I stay here quite a bit, as a weekend warrior, this cabin couldn't be more perfectly situated in the state. The premium waters of Big Green Lake are a mere 4 miles away, offering a phenomenal experience every time! Whether it be; pleasure boating, swimming, jet skiing, tubing, hanging at the beach or fishing - It's all there and then some! If you pick your days right, you may even have the water all to yourselves, which is quite hard to come by in the southern part of the state. Lake Puckaway offers the same experience if you so choose. Don't get me started on the fishing, that's what really gets me coming back for more! Whether it's launching on Big Green Lake, taking the short ride to Lake Puckaway, venturing East for a quick 45 minutes to Lake Winnebago or 1 hour west to Castle Rock Flowage, I've never been disappointed! This cabin is smack dab in the middle of the walleye and pike capital of Wisconsin. So you're not set up for the big lakes? No worries. The lazily moving Fox River flows directly behind the cabin and offers just as many species right off the dock. Not to mention, a free boat landing just down stream of the cabin is available to explore the stretches on up to Lake Puckaway, located 12 beautiful winding water miles upstream. Here you'll be hard pressed running into another person taking advantage of this under utilized waterway. I wasn't going to mention this in fear of missing out on a good deal, but here goes...and it will be quick. The states largest flea market is held in Princeton weekly. If you're into "pickin" like I am, you can come across some goods, sometimes so good they can pay for an entire trip. But please, leave some for me! Take care and have fun! Big John
We came all the way from Germany to stay at the Ochswinkle Cottage. We enjoyed it very much and are looking forward to stay there again soon.
This quaint and cozy home on the Fox River is very comfortable and provides a relaxing retreat in a country setting. Close to the shops of Princeton, there are also many great golf courses in the area. Nice master bedroom, kitchen, dining room, large great room, and full bath on main floor. Downstairs has rec room, enclosed porch, bedroom, bath, and laundry room. The oversized outdoor deck has plenty of room for to grill, relax, and fish at the pier. Recommended!!
What a great location for a little weekend getaway. The area is full of activities year round and this "cottage" was beautiful. Close to civilization, but nothing but peace and quiet. The fishing off the pier was good, and the spacious home was clean and extremely comfortable. A definite must for a relaxing trip to Wisconsin. Thanks!
