Natural beauty, the Gulf of Mexico and warmth of southwest Florida and its tropical luxury are the traditional attraction for travelers and vacationers. North Captiva Island is a sister Island to sanibel and Captiva Islands. It remains the most unique hidden jewel of the barrier islands in Charlotte Bay and the Gulf of Mexico, just off shore of Fort Myers and Cape Coral. The island is accessible only by boat, water taxi service or small airplane on a two thousand foot grass landing field. The beautiful beaches, natural Florida vegetation, including papaya, sea grape and banana palms, are a permanent record of the original unspoiled barrier islands. North Captiva Island is four and one half miles long and one half mile wide. Of its 700 acres, more than one half is a State of Florida protected Wilderness Park and wild life sanctuary for manatees, loggerhead turtles and over one hundred bird species. The waters around the island are among the most diverse and productive sport fishing grounds available in Florida. Vacation Rental Amenities Our home is newly furnished and finished in white for light, with four walls of windows to highlight the panoramic view of lush vegetation and bird activity. The home is built on three levels, with outdoor porches on the second and third levels. It has three bedrooms with king or twin size beds and colorfully coordinated bedding to pamper our guests. The three full bathrooms are also color coordinated and located on two of the living floors. Fully carpeted rooms and stairways lead you comfortably through the three living levels. Wall hangings reflect the island’s flora and fauna.

The kitchen is fully appointed with quality kitchenware and appliances, including a disposal, dishwasher and microwave oven. A Weber Kettle barbeque will add an outdoor dimension to your meals. The living room has a large television with DVD, VHS and Dish TV Satellite channels. The “surround sound” flashing carousel CD player, cassette tape, AM and FM receivers produce your favorite tunes. Your vacation home provides linens, beach towels, towels, paper towels, toilet paper and bathroom, dish & laundry soaps. Activities and Attractions The four-mile long gulf beach is a short two to three minute walk on your private road, directly connecting you to the beach. Beach walking, shelling and fishing are favorite Island activities. Seasonal species make shelling and fishing productive throughout the year.
