This comfortable cottage at Ki-Aah-Hii Preserve, a private 150 acre wildlife ranch just 1 mile east of Bandera, TX, is easy to access on Hwy 16. It has 2 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, a fully furnished, eat-in kitchen, living room with a queen sleeper sofa, a library/sitting room (which could be used as a 3rd bedroom with air mattress)with a large selection of books, games and puzzles, and a large deck. There is an enclosed porch with washer and dryer, sink and mini-fridge, a fenced yard and covered parking. Ki-Aah-Hii Cottage is the perfect launching point to quaint Bandera ("Cowboy Capital of Texas"), scenic Kerrville, the wineries and shops around Fredericksburg, San Antonio, the Medina Apple Festival and much more. This part of the Texas Hill Country historically was home to the Lipan Apache Indians, and "ki-aah-hii" was their word for "homeland of many houses". The preserve is home to white tail deer, non-native axis deer, jackrabbits, armadillos, wild turkey, civet cats, foxes, great blue heron, white egrets, black-bellied whistling ducks, and is a stopover for a host of migrating birds. The large deck is the perfect spot to have a meal, a cocktail or just sit and watch the wildlife. Barbecue, play horseshoes or badminton, watch the night sky and enjoy the fresh air.

Your WELL-BEHAVED pet is welcome, but some limitations do apply, so please ask. The yard has a 4 foot high fence, so jumpers may need to be restrained. There is a $100 pet deposit in addition to the $250 security/damage deposit but both are refundable if there is no loss or damage or extra cleaning needed.
