Property Description

La casa del Sole is located in Punta Secca, a small village in the Province of Ragusa, the most beautiful part of the southeastern coast of Sicily and the ideal place to spend your holiday. It is just 50 meters away from the sea between golden sandy beaches and low cliffs, which appear in the film set of the TV series “Il Commissario Montalbano”. Punta Secca is a typical fishing village, which was an old Arab port facing the African Sea. It has wonderful sunny weather but not too hot in summer and a mild climate in the winter months. Autumn and spring are particularly pleasant, especially the months of April, May, September and October when Sicilian nature is at its best and the seaside villages return to their peace and quiet, after the busy summer months. During this period it is possible to enjoy nice excursions and go trekking inland.

The golden sandy beaches of Punta Secca are all free of charge and safe, and are surrounded by low cliffs on the West and on the East. The old white lighthouse, built with dry stone at the beginning of the last century, dominates Punta Secca. This 40 meters lighthouse over towering the whole coastline is situated in the village main square.
