Los Vados is a remarkable retreat house, 30 minutes from the town of Moab, Utah, situated in a spectacular red rock canyon beside a lovely year-around creek. The house includes a grand covered porch facing the creek with a large dining table and living area with a fireplace. Extensive decks, with teak furniture, continue down to the creek and around the house to the small swimming pool with a view down the beautiful red rock canyon. Large glass doors open the house to the porch. The gourmet kitchen is spacious with two walls of glass providing unobstructed views of the scenic surroundings. The intimate library/den offers a quiet refuge from the bright desert and has its own fireplace. The den has comfortable seating, striking contemporary artwork, a VCR, CD player, and plenty of good books. (There is no television reception in the canyon). Los Vados is close to Moab, yet away from it all; a wonderful place to slow down, share easeful time with others and allow the canyon to work its magic. It is a wild place, rough around the edges, but surprisingly comfortable.
