Master bedroom with roaring fire. The master bedroom is seen here at night with a roaring fire. Mission-style furniture, including desk, desk chair, and rocking chair are seen. During daytime, there is a spectacular view of the pond in the back. There is a queen size bed in the alcove with large windows. A fieldstone fireplace occupies a prominent position and climbs to the cathedral ceiling. It's a great room for a romantic evening by the fire.
Country kitchen. The country kitchen is well-equipped with pots, dishes, microwave, coffee maker, and toaster. The stove uses gas. The kitchen is well-lit with windows on three sides and a skylight. A large table which comfortably seats six is in the kitchen.
Writer's Studio on the Pond. This is the writer's studio, located directly on the shore of Flat Bottom Pond. It is perfect for the extended family with a young couple or teenage children, who may want a little more privacy away from the group. Sitting at the large bay window inside or on the deck outside, you'll have plenty of inspiration to write or read.
Interior view of Writer's Studio. This is an interior view of the charming writer’s studio. There is a large bay window with direct views of the pond only yards away. A family of ducks with eight ducklings have taken up residence on the pond during the summer of 2000. The bedroom has a queen size bed.
Second bedroom downstairs. This is the downstairs guest bedroom. It has three large windows and a door to the rear deck with excellent views of the pond in back. There are two twin extra-long beds. The ladder leads to a sleeping loft.
View of back deck. This deck leads out of the master and guest bedrooms. Two adirondack chairs are nicely placed for reading on the deck. Wisteria grow on the vertical beams to the roof. Catch the beautiful purple flowers of the wisteria which bloom in June. Not seen in the picture, but to the right is a pergola with an entrance to the outdoor shower, an ivy-covered wood structure which is as "Vineyard" as it gets!
Woodshed. There is an architecturally interesting wood shed near the house, usually filled with plenty of firewood in case of cold New England nights. You'll be able to make a fire in the woodburning stove in the living room or the stone fireplace in the master bedroom. Both provide great heating for the whole house. The house is winterized and also has central heating.
