Florida Keys Vacation Cottages. Historic Conch Cottages on a beautiful Oceanfront Property! The cottages are two bedroom, one bath, homes built in a style popular in Key West in the early 1900's. They are on an oceanfront property, just a hundred feet or so from the water! The cottages were built back in the time of Henry Flagger's railroad, which washed away in the hurricane of 1935. But the cottages survived! They are beautifully restored and updated! Each Cottage is beautifully decorated with a unique "Florida Keys charm and character". They have all the modern amenities like satellite TV (150 channels including movies, news, children's etc.), full-size kitchens, microwave ovens, telephones, and of course blenders! Other conveniences include free long-distance! (60 minute limit!) Tropical fruits including key limes, papayas, mangoes, and bananas grow throughout the property and make delicious drinks! Each cottage has two queen-size bedrooms and also a sofa bed or daybed in the living room that converts to two very comfortable twin size beds. They are surrounded by lush tropical gardens which are beautiful places to relax and meditate and just enjoy the fragrances and color. Great Family Vacation Spot! This is a great location for families! And we have two person kayaks for use by our guests to explore the ocean shore (it's normally very calm because of the reef). Or you can fish from the dock or swim in the oceanfront pool. We can arrange fishing, snorkeling, sight-seeing, or diving charters to leave right from our dock! (And we can arrange for a local chef available to cook your catch if you desire!) Close to Key West! We're about halfway between Key West and the best beach in the Keys - Bahia Honda! So whatever you would like to do, it's just a short distance away! Access to the Back Country and the National Wildlife Refuge is right on our island! The best reef for snorkeling and diving -- Looe Key -- is just a few miles off our shore! If you want to rent a boat, a full-service marina is just a mile or so away.
