Or is it maybe a place where you have been wanting to take the family so that you can all enjoy each others company and spend days of quality time. Then you have found it. "Lickskillet Road Mountain Cabin" is the most private cabin that I have yet it is only 15 minutes from the downtown Burnsville square, grocery stores, restaurants and all the unique shops Burnsville has to offer and just 40 minutes from Asheville. Yes we have a Super WalMart in the neighboring town of Spruce Pine. This meticulously maintained 2 story, 3 bedroom 1 and 1/2 bath home is located at almost 4,000 feet in the majestic Black Mountains of North Carolina. During the Spring, Summer and Fall Seasons there is not another home within eyesight. Being near the end of a dead end street affords you even more privacy. Miles of hiking on little known trails and mountain roads is available just out the front door. The large deck affords you the opportunity to relax and enjoy the peace and tranquility of these beautiful mountains. Enjoy the pleasures of outside dining on the large full length deck which stretches from the front to the rear of the home. This deck is accessible from the dining room as well as from the front porch. "Lickskillet Road Mountain Cabin" can easily accommodate up to 6 guests. The small yet bold sound of Lickskillet Creek which runs on the property can be heard from the large full length deck as well as from two of the upstairs bedrooms. This home is a perfect place to let the children run and play. It has a huge yard on the back and two sides as well as a large paved flat driveway. This driveway was specifically designed and paved so that the previous owners children could safely ride their toys. Upstairs is a third bedroom which can also serve as an entertainment room for the children to play games, watch movies or play video games they may have brought with them. The master bedroom is furnished with a queen size bed. The other rear bedroom is furnished with 2 twin beds and the third upstairs bedroom has a full size log style futon bed. All cookware, dinnerware, bed and bath linens are provided. This mountain home along with being private and located deep in the forest is equipped with satellite TV, VCR/DVD/CD player, washer/dryer, kerosene heating. A gas grill is provided for your use.
