Hi There. Nice to Meet You.
Tim Miller, Tech ServicesRichard turned to Tim for assistance developing the new VR411.com website. Richard and Tim had been doing business together for many years in an unrelated field and had developed a strong friendship.
After looking at other vacation websites available at the time, Tim desired an automated website that would store rental home information in a database, and thereby eliminate the hours of work needed to update static websites. At the time very few sites were database-driven and it appeared a great way to have a large selection of homes available to renters while keeping the cost to the home owner as low as possible.
There are always more ideas than time, but Tim and Terry are working tirelessly behind the scenes developing new tools to help make finding your ideal vacation home easier, faster and safer.
Richard Ralke, FounderRichard founded VR411.com in August of 2004, as the marketplace for online vacation rentals was nearly non-existent. At around this time, Richard bought a vacation home in the heart of Southern California's Big Bear region.
After enjoying the home for some time, he decided to share it with others who may be looking for a vacation rental home. The only problem was, at that time there was essentially nowhere online to list his house for rent. Never one to wait for someone else to solve his problems, Richard enlisted the help of Tim in what was initially a vacation rentals website for his home in Big Bear.
After the initial launch of the site, others began to ask if they could share it and list their vacation homes as well. Shortly thereafter, VacationRentals411.com was born.
Terence Stotz, Tech ServicesTerence joined the VR411 team in 2013 to augment the growing technical needs of the 411 community. He has spent the last 17 years in the tech industry. His career has spanned senior I.T. management positions in both software manufacturing and financial services. Most recently he was Director of Technical Services for an international e-commerce company.
Terence owns a rental vacation home as well and felt poorly served by the existing vacation rental market. He joins the VR411 team with a zealousness for creating tools that put users first in the use of vacation rental sites.
