Property Description

This charming guest cottage is fully detached from our home and shares our 5 acre hobby farm on beautiful Quadra Island. The cottage is nearly new and very attractively finished with many custom features such as wide plank floors, handmade stained-glass windows and a clawfoot tub.

The cottage is a studio design with an open concept combining living, dining and sleeping areas. The kitchenette is compact but well equipped with convection oven, fridge, hot plate, toaster, cappuccino maker, dishes, utensils and so on. The comfy double bed is new and topped with a cosy duvet. The private 3 piece bath features a restored claw foot tub. The sitting area has comfortable chairs and a view of the property.

Outside there is a private deck overlooking the pastoral scene. The barbecue is also on the deck. Guests are welcome to wander our 5 acre property. Our friendly dwarf goats are liable to ask for a pet! Or our free range hens might beg for a handout. The land is about 1/2 forested and 1/2 pasture and orchard. Deer are frequent visitors as are herons and waterfowl to our pond.

Quadra Island is one of the largest Gulf Islands. It has a wealth of amenities and recreational activities including a network of great trails for hiking and biking as well as beaches to explore and lakes to canoe. Boating, fishing, ecotours, and SCUBA diving are also popular; charters are easily arranged.

Quadra has 2 villages, several restaurants, a number of quaint galleries, a museum, and 3 pubs as well. Throughout the Island are artists who welcome studio visitors.
