Hacienda Izamal is a one-of-a-kind private Cozumel Vacation Rental built and furnished in the Colonial Mexican tradition. Centrally located, this three bedroom, three bath villa is with easy walking distance of the finest in-town restaurants, shops and grocery stores. Totally surrounded by bougainvillea covered privacy walls, the front door opens onto spectacular tropical gardens. Stroll down the winding path that leads to the main residence and you might just catch sight of the brilliant hues of hummingbirds darting from flower to flower. An azure blue hand-tiled pool sits just in the front of the double French doors that welcome you to the Hacienda. Slip into the warm waters and take a seat on one of the in-pool benches. Stairs built into the pool allow access to both a deep and shallow end. Two pool palapas are connected to the main stereo system in the house, permitting your favorite music to be piped outdoors. You may just have found the perfect spot to relax and unwind. The open concept and architectural design of Hacienda Izamal take advantage of the cooling northern trade winds, but overhead fans and individual thermostatically controlled air conditioners will keep you comfortable. The first level of the villa is comprised of a well-equipped modern kitchen, the adjacent dining room plus an intimate gathering spot for “just catching up”. Step through the dining room doors into your own private retreat, a large screened-in outdoor palapa-covered living room. Many of our renters tell us this is their favorite space…a great place to kick back, sway in a hammock and watch the iguanas sun themselves on the walls. This living area also has a pull-out double futon…there’s nothing like sleeping outdoors in the tropics. You will find two bedrooms, both with queen sized beds, on the first level of the Hacienda. One bedroom has an en-suite bath, and the other bathroom can be accessed in the hall off of the second bedroom. The two downstairs and the upstairs master bathroom are all decorated in handmade talavera tiles, and a pressurized soft water system allows for all of the comforts of home. At the top of the staircase on the second floor you will find a computer alcove complete with high-speed internet service. The master suite, with king bed can be found just off of the alcove.
