Cozy and freshly remodeled, this 1920's garden-style bungalow, is less than one short block from the beach. Enjoy the backyard's hot tub, and the Bungalow's fireplace, Cable TV, and an automated Shiatsu-Massage chair. There is a full Kitchen including a dishwasher, coffeemaker, microwave, large toaster, blender, waffle maker, gas stove and broiler, and dishes for eight+. This open-architecture style home has a queen Murphy bed in the bedroom area; a queen innerspring futon in the living room area, and four adult-sized cots. Amenities include free local phone calls, answering service, laptop computer & free interent connection, 100's of free videotapes to watch, all paper supplies, local newspaper, linens, towels, and even fluffy bathrobes for use after the hot tub. Use our 4 bikes to ride 10 minutes to the south, to the village of Capitola with its large beach complete with volleyball courts, seaside restaurants, and fun shops. To the north is the world-famous Santa Cruz Beach Boardwalk with the West coast's last seaside amusement park and free world-class entertainers on Friday nights during the summer. Play croquet on the back lawn or Foozball on our regulation-sized table, while enjoying the large gas barbecue cooking your favorites. There are also 6 redwood chairs & tables and 4 beach chairs & umbrellas. Off-street parking for 2 cars is provided by a back alley access off Hawes St., just around the corner from the front deck. The street is more of a path with surfers, bicyclists, and strolling people admiring the beautiful gardens, including the Bungalow's. Sip morning coffee from the front redwood deck and watch the sailboats floating by, while enjoying the fresh gentle breeze. We have our cat with us when we stay here; so if you're allergic, be advised we cannot guarantee that every speck of cat will have been removed, although the cat is gone. Your pet might enjoy it too. We've had cats, dogs & and a rabbit stay with here so far, and their owners are really great about cleaning up after them. The closest beaches provides plastic bags for the inevitable and the beaches are kept clean. We also have 6' high fences and an outdoor shower in the back yard for them. We also help our neighbors find nice people to stay in their homes, so even if our calendar is booked, send me an email and I'll check who has availability nearby.
