THE BIRD HOUSES - Clean, well-maintained cottages furnished in crisp blue/white sailing style: 1BR 'Chickadee' best for a couple, or 2 persons (in photo at right), and the 2BR 'Lark', maximum 4 persons, in the rear (see photo later)-- for rent by the night, week or month. Walking distance (3/4 mile) to ferry, 1/2 mile to Main St shopping, harbor, town beach, 'Black Dog' tavern. Popular island bike route and public bus in front of house. Flexible weeks can begin or end any day. No pets (except in Chickadee after Labor Day). Smoking OK but only outdoors.
