The Buche Hause (Beech House) is a scenic getaway for your pleasure during all 4 seasons. Our cozy condo chalet is located atop Beech Mountain in the North Carolina Mourntains only 1/2 mile from SkiBeech. SkiBeech is a great family place to Ski. They also have an ice skating rink with day and evening skating and a great ski school. We are about 15 minutes from Sugar Mountain, as well--also a great place to ski. The Buche Haus is a very convenient and affordable weekend or weeklong family vacation and great for family reunions, romantic weekends, honeymoons or a girls/guys weekend away. Ground level access makes it easy to unload. The first floor has 2 bedrooms (1 king & 1 queen bed) and a full bath as well as a washer/dryer. The bedrooms have TV/DVD/VCRs. The main floor has a living room (with a queen pullout couch), with lots of seating, a fireplace, TV/DVD/VCR, dining area, full kitchen and 2 decks with nice views and a full bath on this floor with another full bath. The 3rd floor has a great view and has a full-sized bed and a 1/2 bath and a queen aerobed available. The condo has many amenities to make your stay easy and comfortable. The kitchen has everything you need to make meals. We provide movies, games, kids' toys and infant/toddler items (such as playpen, crib, high chair, booster seat, etc..), linens/towels and firewood. We are Beech Mountain Country Club members so you can take advantage of club offerings like swimming, golf, fitness center, camps and activities for kids and tennis for a very nominal fee. Year-round Activities include hiking, fishing, canoeing, shopping, area festivals, restaurants or curling up with a book by the stone fireplace. The Buckeye Recreation Center is now finished and is located up the road from the Country Club. Here they have a fitness center, indoor track, kids' and adult classes and activities, outdoor playground, indoor tennis, basketball indoor playroom, and lake for fishing. Summertime is a great time for rafting activities as well. Many places offer group or individual trips for half and full days. We are not far from Banner Elk, Boone, Blowing Rock, Tweetsie Railroad, Grandfather Mountain, Linville Caverns and the Blue Ridge Parkway. Anything you'd want to do, we can tell you how to do it. We have collected a lot of information (and also have lots of information available in the condo) to make planning your trip easier to make the most of your stay.
