Property Description
Bedrooms: 2. Bathrooms: 1
This adorable, year-round, 2-bedroom* cottage is located in the heart
of Campobello Island's, Wilson Beach neighborhood. It is
approximately a 15-minute drive from Lubec, Maine via the FDR
Memorial Bridge (must travel through Canadian Customs and
Immigration), and less than a 10-minute drive from Campobello-Deer
Island, NB ferry landing. From our home, you can easily walk (less
than 10 minutes) to the local general store, post office, fishermen's
wharf , or churches (2). By car, the local restaurants, grocery store,
whale-watching tours, nature trails, lighthouses (2), and Franklin D.
Roosevelt Memorial Park (the island's claim to fame), is never more
than 15-minutes away. Of course, you never have to leave the veranda
to experience the best of what Campobello has to offer - cool,
salt-water, breezes; haunting sounds of the channel fog horn and
native seagulls; regular appearances of porpoises in the bay; and
even the occasional sighting of a Minke or Finback whale! Sunsets
and star-gazing are two of the area's greatest evening attractions,
but mornings are what Campobello does best - our sunrises put us on
the map and made us FDR's "beloved island". If you want to get away
from what man has made, and appreciate what only nature can offer,
this is the place for you. We want your experience on Campobello
Island to be as memorable and as personable as possible. Upon
booking, you will be provided with a local contact who can provide
you with any information regarding local businesses, church
activities, and community events. (And if you're in the market for
lobster or scallops fresh off the deck of a local fishing boat, we
can probably help you with that as well!) Call us today! *2nd bedroom
is smaller than average (77 sq ft) but comfortably accomodates a full
size bed additional pictures available upon request
