One of the first homes built in the area in the 1930's, and now completely restored and upgraded, this 2-bedroom adobe cottage offers privacy in a quiet neighborhood (no railroad noise), off-street parking and space for the kids to play. The mission-style courtyard is great for a barbecue, dining and sunset watching. The patio and lawn make approved pets welcome. Your family or guests can sleep comfortably in the queen bed, twin bed, twin bunks and sleeper sofa. With the fully-equipped kitchen, nook and washer/dryer, preparing meals and washing up after a trip to Legoland or a walk to the beach are easy. Central heat keeps the home cozy, while the fireplace, TV with DVD and cable, and internet access allow you to relax and stay in touch while you're away on vacation or business. All linens, kitchen items and beach toys are provided so that you can enjoy your visit.

Nearby Attractions: - Short walk to great family beach. Legoland, Sea World, San Diego Zoo, Wild Animal Park, La Jolla, Disneyland, Balboa Park, San Luis Rey Mission, San Juan Capistrano Mission are all less than a 1-hour drive. Surfboard rentals, bowling, trolley, shops, casual dining are within a short walk on Historic Hwy. 101. Starbucks, theater and restaurants minutes away in Oceanside and Carlsbad.
We stayed here from Nov 16-20, and it was perfect. We choose Oceanside because it was close to both Anaheim so we could take our kids to Disneyland, and close to San Diego so we could attend to BSU vs SDSU game at Qualcomm Stadium. The area was wonderful, both close to the beach and several stores. Our kids loved the courtyard and the fountain. Their favorite thing to do was give each other wagon rides, so the wagon was a nice touch. The house had everything we needed for out stay, from extra towels and blankets to beachtoys and books for the kids. We loved this house, and would love to rent it and stay there again.
We were there for the month of September and had a wonderful stay. We loved the courtyard and fountain, and the neighbors are great. WiFi and printer a HUGE PLUS - it did get a little warm - I would suggest that the windows all be repaired to open and all have screens on them - this would help a great deal. We were very comfortable, our dogs made themselves right at home and even enjoyed visiting the neighbors! Found a great dog park nearby. Eric was wonderful, the house was stocked with cleaning supplies which was great for such a long stay. We are hoping to enjoy it again in September of 2012. You will not be disappointed if your choice is "ADOBE COTTAGE" very quiet neighborhood and convenient to everything. Thanks Eric!

This is our 3rd summer to stay here and we feel like it is our second home now. We have stayed other places before but once we found this place we have not looked anywhere else. As a matter of fact, we don't even take a big vacation anywhere but here. The home is VERY comfortable and clean. We love to cook out on the grill for dinner and then eat outside. The birds in the fountain are fun to watch too. I also like the wireless internet and the ability to print. There is not a large enough space to write all the great things about the place. I forgot one huge point....the washer and dryer!! Eric, you have a great place and you are great to work with!
We had a family of 4 visiting from India - 2 kids and us. The cottage is close to freeways and is well located between disneyland and San Diego - ideal base to hit both attractions if you have the Southern California pass. The house was very comfortable, the owner was easy to deal with. It has 2 bedrooms 1 of which has a bunk bed and another bed. Slightly smaller other bed by American Standards but we were able to fit in very well - all 6 of us. All the amenities are nearby - all the utensils were readily available and the owner was nice enough to have some extras. We cooked and saved money on eating out and ate healthy! A nice and cosy place. Would highly recommend it.
What a great vacation spot. Comfy bed and living rooms, great kitchen and dining area. The gated patio was awesome with hummingbirds visiting the fountain each day. The neighborhood was quiet and great for daily walks with our dogs. We enjoyed fresh oranges from the tree and appreciated having a printer on site. The owner, Eric, was very kind and responsive before and during our stay.
Location Location Location! Walk to the Beach 3 minutes or less to the 5 freeway. Literally can get to Disneyland in an hour, San diego in 30 minutes, La Jolla, Encinitas, we even took a day trip to Melrose and the Grove in L.A. I will never stay anywhere else. The owner is amazing returns emails and phone calls within minutes. This is the cleanest rental I have ever been in, and we rent every summer. I will never go anywhere else as long as he is renting. HUGE COURTYARD that is gated so if you have small kids no stress about them being out side. Fountain in courtyard, picnic table outside seats the whole family. Flat screen tv, wireless internet this is really a great place to stay.
