Welcome to our getaway in the north woods. Our cabin is located on the magnificent 17,000 acre Chippewa Flowage, Wisconsin's largest wilderness lake. We are located on Moore's Bay, 20 Miles east of Hayward, WI. The cabin is located on the northeast side of the lake with great sunrises and very little boat traffic. The east side of the lake is very easy to access from our cabin. We are open the first Saturday in May through mid October. A little background on our cabin: The entire compound, almost 5 acres, was previously a six cabin resort with a small RV park, owned and managed by Gene and June Mittlestadt. Approximately ten years ago, they decided to “condo out” the resort. All the cabins are privately owned, but all share common areas including a playground and fish cleaning house. Our cabin is approx 100' from the lake, set on a hill. The kitchen features a full size electric range, refrigerator, microwave, toaster, and coffeemaker. There is an ample supply of pots, pans, dishes, cups, glasses, forks, knives, etc. There is a charcoal grill on the spacious 12 X 16 foot deck. FISHING: Dock your boat at our private dock. A public launch is just minutes away. The "Chip" is famous for the "Mighty Musky". The lake is also known for it's Northern, Walleye, Large & Small Mouth Bass, as well as "Slab Crappies", and great Blue Gill & Perch fishing. The cabin is perfect for your next trip north. Ideal for you, your family, and/or your fishing buddies. We know you will have a great time! The area is pretty much wilderness, the cabin is comfortable, the lake is outstandingly beautiful, and the fishing can be excellent. We usually rent for the entire week but in some cases, a shorter stay may be negotiable with a minimum of 3 days. PAYMENT: A deposit of $200 will hold your dates. Balance due before or at check in. We accept money order, Travelers Check, or PayPal only. Please Note: If you cancel for any reason, and if we can rent the cabin for your booked dates, we will refund your deposit minus a $50.00 fee. Otherwise, your deposit is non-refundable. All rates subject to all state and local taxes and fees.
