Shady Rest Lodge is a full service family resort located on Breezy Point, a heavy wooded peninsula reaching out into clear, spring-fed Manson Lake. With more than 1800 feet of frontage there is always a place to relax in seclusion. The lake in nestled among the tall pines and hardwoods of Onieda County and more than twenty percent of its shoreline is undeveloped. We are also privaleged to have an eagle nest right on the property which allows our guests a magnificent view of the bald eagle and their young.

Lake view? No problem. All of our accommodations are located on Manson Lake giving you a beautiful view. Because we are located on a peninsula many of our cottages provide you with more than one view of the lake. At Shady Rest Lodge we gaurantee individuals, couples, and families a place where they can escape the fast-paced world and enjoy the peace that Northern Wisconsin offers. Under our Modified American Plan the staff serves meals ( breakfast and evening dinner) in our dining room that overlooks beautiful Manson Lake. You have your own table for the duration of your stay with no need to make reservations for a particular time to eat. Every morning the housekeeping staff cleans your accommodation and provides fresh bath linens. For the vacationer we offer morning and evening activities that you are free to participate in if you so desire. We also provide water skiing and tubing during the afternoon hours. We have trained staff that drive our Ski Nautique and Tige ski boats, and a staff member in the water to help young children or adults learning to ski.

We also offer the European Plan which includes your cottage and use of facilities. This plan is only available during our early and late season. The European Plan is for those who want to rent a cottage and enjoy the facilities. Under the Euroepan Plan the rate is a per cottage rate. The Modified American Plan is a per person rate which is based on the number of people per accommodation and the ages of any child 12 and under.
