Property Description

Bedrooms: 4. Bathrooms: 6

Akasha is The Villa. Designed by an awarding winning UK architect the finishing and facilities within the villa are what you would expect in Miami or New York. The ultra modern design is set in lush gardens from which Richard, our gardener, produces his organic vegetables for your dinner table. Stunning views and sunsets are present from the moment you step thru the door until you lay your head down after viewing the sheer beauty of this location. Listen to music, sip your champagne while sitting on the bar stool in the pool, play the piano and entertain your friends, gaze at the stars from the lookout, or just lie in bed and watch the ships sail into Castries. Our onsite manager will organize your trips and recommend where to snorkel, dive, water ski, para sail, or go play a round of golf. He will also recommend some of the best and local restaurants on the island. If you fancy some creole cooking then Julietta is a locally renowned cook who can prepare those local dishes. Akasha the ultimate in paradise: Defined in Sanskrit text as 'Ether', the most subtle of the five elements, and in Homeric Greek as 'pure, fresh air' or 'clear sky', Akasha is a positive substance, filled with unseen energies and intelligence. Akasha sits on a hillside in the exclusive Cap Estate looking over the Caribbean sea with views down to the world heritage site of the Pitons and the national park Pigeon Island. From this unrivaled location you can watch the sail boats and mega yachts as they head into Rodney Bay marina and in the evening with a glass of wine watch the stunning sunsets. A contemporary villa designed for Caribbean living, Akasha combines the best of modern living with the relaxed and content lifestyle of the Caribbean. Every room boasts spectacular views, with huge floor to ceiling windows and minimum distractions from the stunning vistas. From the lookout you can see both the Atlantic and the Caribbean. Enjoy the music and light up the atmosphere: Each bedroom has a flat-panel TV allowing you to choose a movie 'on demand' from the extensive movie library or watch cable TV. Crestron panels located on each floor allow you to manage all the music, lighting, entertainment systems, security, air conditioning, fans and security gates. These can also be controlled via the remote controls found in each room. Alternatively you could just enjoy the peace and tranquility offered by this location. At

Family from USA

Akasha is an absolutely gorgeous home with incredible views of both the Caribbean sunsets and the vibrant city life below. Our family of four stayed there for spring break. The home offers every modern convenience a home can offer. Our teenage children particularly enjoyed plugging their IPods into the home's speaker system and enjoying customized audio throughout the home all week. I enjoyed having coffee on the main terrace overlooking the ocean in one of the home's many comfortable outdoor living areas each morning. My husband most enjoyed walking down to the beach below the villa and the rejuvenation offered by the home's amazingly tranquil views of the sunrise each morning. We all enjoyed early morning dips in the pool. Akasha's staff went way above and beyond in making sure our stay was enjoyable and that our every need was met. There was no pressure to do pack our days with activities, but rather an offer to arrange them if we so desired, and that was nice. Some days we opted to have them arrange travel or activities on the island, while others we chose to just stay and enjoy what the villa itself has to offer. One night we cooked a fantastic meal on the poolside barbeque grill and ate on the lovely outdoor dining area overlooking the ocean. Fred gladly took us to nearby beaches and to the store or the resort below when needed. For those looking for more than just another crowded upscale resort, a stay at Akasha is a fantastic alternative. It offers more amenities, more luxury, and of course far more space, and is far more private and peaceful. There are dozens of activities located within close proximity of the villa. The private tour of the island and the zip-lining in the rain forest were quite fun, and the restaurants recommended to us by the staff were all fantastic and quite convenient from the villa. Traveling with teenagers, it was especially nice for them to have their own bedrooms (and of course bathrooms). What a lovely place to unwind in the evening, with a glass of wine on the back terrace for the adults and a nice library of movies on the flat screens throughout the home for the kids. The site and the pictures simply don't show the true beauty of Akasha. The gourmet kitchen is far more spectacular in person than it is in the pictures, and the words and pictures describing the resort's services and staff can't adequately reflect the welcome feeling and superb service they provide to guests. The villa and the pool were immaculate on arrival and throughout our stay. The week at Akasha most definitely lived up to our expectations. We had the most pleasant vacation there we've ever had. Fred was absolutely amazing; he really knows the island and its people well and gladly helped us in deciding where to go and what to do and assisted in getting us there Fred also took us on a couple of jaunts to the local places near Akasha in the Rodney Bay area that we enjoyed tremendously and would have never, ever experienced had he not been so kind as to take us there. He went way above and beyond in making us feel welcome and all agree our stay there wouldn't have been the same without him. I think a lot more families would surely choose to stay in such a beautiful villa as Akasha over any crowded resort if they knew up front that such necessities as food and transportation were so easily arranged. Our week was truly wonderful and we hope to return someday Beth and Bruce Essex
