Four large bedrooms - three are masters. This accommodating house easily sleeps up to 16. All master bedroom have dual sinks. Two of the masters have Sunken Jacuzzi Tubs and separate showers. Five full bathrooms. Large downstairs living room and separate oversized upstairs family room. For the cook in you, the gourmet kitchen is large and opens up to both the living room and dining room so all can enjoy each other’s company. A gigantic island highlights the oversized kitchen. Features include stainless steel appliances, granite countertops, a huge refrigerator and freezer, two dishwashers, and a walk in pantry. The downstairs laundry room has two washers and two dryers. The flooring in the three master bathrooms is heated - a perfect welcome in the morning, especially during the winter months! Snuggle up next to one of three wood burning fireplaces indoors or outdoors! Loved the lay-out of the house. It was a perfect retreat for families with kids. The backyard that led into the woods was perfect for the boys to play in. Kitchen, Dining and Patio areas were nicely laid out for big meals. The only suggestion we have is we did not have kitchen towels to use, dustbins and broom to help clean-up at the end of the day. We were pleasantly surprised that this cabin (large house) was actually nicer than we had anticipated. It is at the very top of Moonridge, which is the mountain right next to Bear Mountain and Snow Summit mountains. It is only a few minutes up the hill from town, but it feels miles and miles away. It is on a gigantic flat lot on a cul-de-sac. The house was right next to hiking trail and the backyard went on forever into the hills. There is plenty of parking on the circular driveway. There was a nice playground set for the kids along with a basketball court. The outdoor jacuzzi was large and fit eight of us no problem. Inside the house was first class all the way. There were four bedroom suites which each had their own televisions and DVD players. There was a large family room downstairs next to the gigantic kitchen and another upstairs. Each had its own big screen TV. Two of the bathrooms had heated floors and another had a steamer. We split the house with another family and had plenty of room left over. There are four bedrooms and five full baths. Each of the bedrooms had a fold out couch as well, so you can fit a lot of people in this place. It is very large, I would estimate 3,500 or 4,000 square feet, so you never feel trapped. All of the the furniture is very nice and comfortable. Recently stayed at Grand Mountain Retreat with some of my family members and we all had a wonderful experience. The house is gorgeous and met all our needs. We especially loved the big open kitchen, great for hanging out and entertaining. We would definitely stay there again and would recommend the house to others. We just got back from a 3 night stay at the Grand Mountain Retreat and had the best time! Booking process was very easy, as well as the payment instructions and details they provide prior to arrival. A couple days before, we got a call and email to let us know that our original cabin we booked had undergone plumbing issues and would not be available. Nick was able to work with us in providing even a better cabin that our family was able to enjoy. Although the issue was out of their control, Nick made sure we had no worries and we were completely satisfied. Once we arrived, we loved the cabin!!! There were a few minor issues that we advised the office of, so we won't be accountable, but other than that, the cabin was well equipped with everything we needed. Our family really enjoyed the amenities and we will definitely book again with Destination Big Bear. Thank you for making our stay a wonderful one!
