Located on Taveuni, considered to be the most beautiful of all the Fiji Islands, is Vale Cadra Ni Vula (which means "House of the Rising Moon" in Fijian and pronounced va-lay thandra nee vula), a modern and beautifully crafted luxury vacation rental home. The house consists of 3 hexagon-shaped rooms all with 20-foot high ceilings and glass dome tops. The large sitting room/kitchen separates the two master suites, with a large, private veranda connecting all three sections and overlooking the ocean. All rooms throughout the house have ceiling fans to keep you cool. The house is constructed entirely of local indigenous woods, and the kitchen and baths are accented with ceramic tile imported from Italy. Both bathrooms have a large, step-down, green slate shower, which maintains the natural environment - or you can shower outdoors in our semi-circle rock shower while looking at the blue ocean or gazing at the star filled night sky. Enjoy the breathtaking view off our twenty by fifty foot deck that is simply fantastic. It gives you a panoramic view of the ocean as well as the islands in the distance. We left all the palm trees so you can sit back and listen to the sound of the palm fronds rustling! Prepare your food in our gourmet kitchen or use the outdoor gas barbeque. If you're not in the mood to cook, our caretaker is an excellent cook and will be happy to prepare all your meals. In the evening, you'll see the reason the house is so named as the moon rises over the glistening water. One point I would like to convey is this is not an average rental property - it is our own private home and has all of the luxury and comforts we personally wanted in it. It is beautifully furnished and contains artwork from around the world. We provide you with all the amenities of home including a great stereo with CD player - so bring your favorite music. Our 400 ft. white sand beach and beautiful blue water provide one of the most beautiful backdrops anywhere. Nearby, the amazing coral reef provides some of the best swimming and snorkeling in the world - and it's right outside your door! There are plenty of other activities to enjoy on Taveuni - kayaking, horseback riding, mountain biking, paddle boats, snorkeling and world-class diving. Bouma Waterfalls is about a 30-minute taxi ride from the house - they shouldn't be missed! Just ask our caretaker to arrange any of these outings for you.
