Kitchen Kitchen has gas stove/oven, refrigerator, microwave oven, toaster, drip coffee pots, plenty of pots/pans, kitchen knives and utensils and plates, cups, glasses. Also lots of good restaurants locally if cooking is not on your vacation “to do” list.
Deck & Steps to water looking North water is to the left. Large, new outside deck runs along the water-side of the lodge and has lots of seating and a Weber charcoal grille. Steps lead to the ramp and float.
Deck and seating looking south water is to the right Plenty of seating and room on the large deck. Sunny parts as well as shaded parts.
Bunk Beds - 4 2 Custom built-in buck beds can sleep 4 adults. There are also a twin single and a queen futon. Pillows, blankets, bed covers included. Bring your own sheets & pillow cases or we can help with rentals.
Inside - Fireplace Hearth Large fireplace and plenty of "nooks" to crawl up with a good book. Satellite TV if books are not your thing. Inside is a cathedral-ceiling "Great" room with a magnificent local stone fireplace with a 5 foot opening and swivel iron with an iron cooking pot (not used in the summer).
Steps to water & float. Steps from the deck to the ramp leading to the float. Your view of the lake to the west is spectacular. Sunset is a very special time. Morning sun dapples thru the tall pines.
Bathroom (shower unseen) Full bath and stall shower (not shown) with large closet completes the inside.

Property Description

The way life should be! The Lodge, nestled in pine trees a mere 20 feet from the Lake, is a log cabin style home located on Damariscotta Lake in Mid Coast Maine. Perfect for a romantic get-a-way for 2, the Lodge faces west for a beautiful sunset and is an affordable vacation spot with a lot to offer. Enjoy the lake or be at Pemaquid Point public ocean beach in about 25 minutes. Pemaquid Point open ocean in 30 minutes. We are 30 minutes north of Boothbay Harbor and 30 minutes south of Camden Harbor: you’re in Mid Coast Maine’s most desirable area. Seclusion of the Lake or salt water beaches and restaurants and shopping and all that Mid Coast Maine has to offer are all within an easy drive. A “great room” provides sleeping for 6 on built-in bunk beds for 4 and/or a standard bed or Futon. A large fire place and plenty of seating areas are available. A full kitchen and separate bathroom with shower completes the inside. An outside deck provides seating and views west for sunsets and is a mere 20 feet from the waters edge of this 12 mile long lake. The Lodge is one of only 2 homes on this section of the lake and is secluded. No other homes but these 2 are even visible along the shore line adjacent to them. Swimming can be done from the float right out in front of the Lodge (water level is about 4 feet at it’s outside edge and is easily accessible from the shore although a ramp is provided too) or at the public beach a mile and a half away. An ocean beach is a short drive away. Enjoy the use on the lake of our canoe which is included in the price.
