Living Room / Entry This is the entry and living area. There are some games. There is a papasan chair and queen futon (sleeps one more comfortably than two, but two is possible). The TV has a built-in VCR (some tapes may be in the house, please rewind them and put them back when you are done watching them) and there is a satellite unit (basic 100 only).
Kitchen / Living The kitchen and living areas are open. The kitchen has all the usual large and small appliances, utensils, and cleaning supplies. There is a phone for your convenience for local and toll-free calling only. Toll calls require a calling card. If needed, prepaid calling cards are available for purchase at nearby retailers. Any closet or cabinet that is not locked is there for you, be sure to look around and see what's already here before you go to the store! The IGA grocery is just down the street and around the corner. Convenience stores are scattered around Port A.
Rear (Shady) Deck This is the deck off of each of the two bedrooms. The steps lead to the Captain's Walk (or "Crow's Nest") on the roof. The view is spectacular! Please be careful on all decks and stairs: you're in a stilt house and the base of the lower deck is already more than ten feet above the ground. Folding deck chairs and tables are stored in the bedroom closets for your use at The Deckhouse (please do not take chairs or towels to the beach). There are four chairs, two loungers, and two tables. Be sure to put them back inside when you're not using them, it can get windy at the coast!
Queen Bedroom, toward Rear The queen room is very nautical. Extra linens are in the dresser and closet, and there is plenty of room for your clothes. The bedrooms have folding doors leading into the kitchen/living area and sliding glass doors leading onto the rear deck. The bathroom is between the bedrooms. Ceiling fans, nightstands, clock radios, and reading lamps provide a thoughtful touch.

Top of the World A view looking up toward the Captain's Walk. You can see most of the town from up there! 4 people can sunbathe comfortably at once, with a bucket of cold ones at hand.

An adorable 2 bedroom, 1 bath single-family home in the heart of Port Aransas, Texas. Two minutes by car from Coastal Bend beaches -- the "Texas Riviera." Spectacular views from the Captain's Walk atop the roof. The home sits high on stilts (pier & beam) and boasts several decks. Sleeps up to 6 (5 is more reasonable). Smoking okay out on the decks but PLEASE be careful and use the ash-pots. Some deck space is open, some is under the roof. This is one of the few homes in Port A that allows small PETS! Many historic sites within an hour via free ferry.
