This complex is on 16 acres, great place to bring your family. Most units in this 232 unit complex are second homes. We are located right on the bike path that leads you past the ballfields, public tennis courts, Dairy Queen and you end up at the pier and village. Putt Putt golf, fishing and meeting and greeting people are favorite pasttimes. There is also a library found at the pier, many great restaurants to choose from. Watch the large container ships pass by. Golfers will find St. Simons Island Golf Resorts some of the best in the nation. Hampton Club and Sea Palms Resorts are public courses here on SSI. There is also a public course on Jekyll Island, one on Oak Grove Island, and two other renouned courses North and South right off of 95. Our beaches are fun for families, there is a really nice public volleyball court located at the historic Coast Guard station near East Beach. You can take kayak tours, jeep tours, horse drawn carraige tours, trolley tours, even a ghost tour. The theater is located mid island. Two large grocery chains, Outback, Bone Fish and Kobe are among local restaurants. We are also an area rich in history. On St. Simons is Fort Frederica.
Within 30 miles is Fort King George. Jekyll Island is renouned for its history as well. St. Augustine is an easy drive as is Savannah. Cumberland Island, Sapelo Island need reservations to take ferry to visit them. This area does not have amusement parks, but we have the kind of area your family will always remember fondly as one of their favorite places. St. Simons was recently named the #2 place to retire. Our retires are here to ride bikes, and stay active playing golf, or volunteering. No plaid pants here!
