Maui Kaanapali Villas is right on one of the most beautiful beaches in the World-- Kaanapali Beach! The beach is pristine and sandy with the water averaging high 70's. Black Rock, famous for its snorkeling, is walking distance and the activities center on-site rents snorkels. The oceanfront restaurant, Castaways, has excellent food and is known for it's extensive wine list. There are lounge chairs on a grassy area overlooking the beach and two pools as well as shuffle board and cabanas for rent. The general store on site has little necessities and there are markets nearby for making your own meals, if you wish. Whalers Village offers world class shopping and is a good walk (1/2mi) or short drive away. There is a free shuttle to Whaler's Village. Around Whalers Village are 5 hotels all offering a variety of restaurants as well as the Hula Grill and Lelani's, where you can listen to live Hawaiian music and eat or enjoy a happy hour Mai Tai. Every night the Sheraton has a Sunset Black Rock Ceremony, not to be missed. The golf courses in Kaanapali and Kapalua are world renown. A 15 minute drive south, and you'll be in famous Old Town Lahaina. Lahaina has numerous restaurants, art galleries and little shops. They just redid the pool to include a kiddie pool and hot tub! It's beautiful! We were just there , putting in brand new queen size beds, all new kitchen appliances/dishes and all new linens, as well as updating the decor!! This is our favorite place in the world and we hope you enjoy our second home as we have!
