Tucked away in a quaint residential neighborhood in the heart of Santa Fe’s Eastside Historic District, Casa Hermosa offers guests the opportunity to experience true Santa Fe living in a restored adobe home. Here you will find peace and privacy behind high adobe walls within one block of Santa Fe’s world renowned art district along Canyon Road. Walk out Casa Hermosa’s old world front gates and explore the town on foot. Stop by The Tea House around the corner for a light meal or coffee. Hike, bike or walk to The Plaza, Santa Fe’s finest restaurants, world class museums, and some of the oldest buildings in the United States. After a day of sightseeing, sink into the stuffed leather furniture and warm yourself around a pinion wood fire in the kiva fireplace. In warmer months, step out the back door onto a covered brick portal and relax in the rocking chairs. From the portal step down to the private shaded patio with an outdoor dining area. Throughout the house you will find original Southwest architectural details, including coved viga ceilings, hand painted tiles inlaid in the walls, a hand carved front door, brick and wood plank floors, kiva fireplaces with bancos. Newly remodeled and professionally furnished in Santa Fe style with original artwork in July 2007 Casa Hermosa is the genuine Eastside Santa Fe experience. This comfortable one story, 1400 square foot vacation home sleeps six and is suitable for two couples, a family, or singles. It has two master bedrooms, one with a king sized bed and the other with a queen sized bed and kiva fireplace. Each bedroom has its own ensuite full bath. There is also a comfortable queen sleeper sofa in the living room. The ful kitchen has all amenities plus a dinette that seats two. The living room has a kiva fireplace and a big stuffed leather sofa and chair set that seats five. The formal dining room is appointed with a carved wood Spanish dinette that seats six. The house is perfect for a small dog as the property is enclosed within high walls, and there is a wonderful trail 1/2 block away to walk your dog by the Santa Fe River. No scratchers, diggers, or incessant barkers please.
