Our COUNTRY COTTAGE is located in scenic Lassen County -adjacent to Plumas county - where rugged canyons, crystal clear lakes, grassy meadows, trout-filled streams, fresh pine forests, and brilliant star-filled skies...await you! The Lake Almanor Basin is best known as a recreation paradise and the gateway to Lassen Volcanic National Park. Country Cottage has been a favorite family retreat for years and we invite you and your family to share our home. Upon entering you'll find a piano in the parlor for some old fashioned sing-alongs. The living room is spacious and comfortably furnished. The kitchen is bright and sunny and fully equipped for the family cook. We have table service for 16 so you will not be running the dishwasher after every meal. There is a laundry room with full size washer and dryer. You will find the Country Cottage a "home away from home". There are 3 bedrooms and 1 1/2 baths. Two bedrooms have full size beds and the third has 2 twins. There is a sofa bed in the living room if needed. Presently we have 3 TV's so everyone can watch what they want and 2 VCR's. Besides games and cards, we have a nice selection of VCR tapes and there is a rental store about 2 blocks away. If there are any Bingo fans the local people host a game down the street every Monday night. I think one of the most beautiful places on earth is behind town at a place that used to be called Walker Lake but is now known as Mountain Reservoir. Make sure you go there if not for the bass fishing then the scenery is worth it. Historic Westwood will interest you with it's unique past as an early 1900's lumber mill town. Many of the original buildings still stand. Visit Westwood's museum, and take pictures below the giant statues of Paul Bunyon and Babe, his blue ox.
