And it's an easy 45 minute drive from Fresno. The town of Shaver Lake, with great restaurants, gift shops, and laid back friendly proprietors is just 5 minutes up the road. Within a pleaseant 45 minute drive are 3 more large lakes, a wonderful redwood forest, 3 snow parks, a ski resort, and so much more. Shaver Lake is a year-round playground! Fall, spring and summer guests enjoy spring skiing, hundreds of miles of hiking and bike trails (one even passes through our backyard), popular 4 wheel drive roads, rock climbing, backpacking, guided horse tours, world class freshwater fishing (lake and stream, stocked and native), natural hot springs, kayaking, canoeing, swimming, wake boarding, water skiing, boating (rentals available) and nature viewing. Winter Guests enjoy spectacular downhill and cross-country skiing, snowshoeing, snowboarding, snowmobiling, and sledding.
