Lunch Ride On Carter's Mountain  At Randall Glen Stables we have trail rides for every rider, from first time to lifetime. Our gentle horses are sure footed and the trails are magnificent.

Games Barn  At our antique log Games Barn you can kick back with billiards, air hockey, ping pong, Foosball, and more. And on the 3-acre Games Lawn, let it out with volleyball and badminton, tire swings, lawn games, and a hill for sledding and sliding. At night we have cookouts and bonfires with S'mores...and maybe a few spooky stories.
Snow Dogs
Snow Dogs  We're open year round, and at our elevation we often have snow when no one else does. We're close to two ski areas, and we have plenty of activities right here for those folks that don't ski.

Additional Information

Pets are allowed at our pet-friendly cabin, which has a large fenced area. We provide acres of off-leash woods, too, for you and your pet to enjoy together. We also have a handicapped-accessible cabin and a kid-friendly cabin with child proofing.

Sledding On The Games Lawn  In the winter the Games Lawn turns into a sledding hill, and we gather around the bonfire for hot chocolate.

Wagon Ride In The Valley  Take an old time wagon ride with Pete and Jake, our team of Haflingers. The historic valley of Big Sandy Mush is still farmed by descendants of the 1700s pioneers.
Horse Shoeing
Horse Shoeing  Around the farm and at our antique settler's log cabin, we have regular Living History demonstrations. You might see horse shoeing, sheep shearing, plowing with horses, or other pioneer ways.
Haywood Gap
Haywood Gap  Just west of us is the Haywood Gap, and our road is the original wagon trail that settlers used to travel through the Gap to cross the mountains. We're so high up that clouds drift through at ground level. Have you ever walked through a cloud?
