Shadow Mountain Escape (SME) is comprised of three timber frame structures located in a beautiful niche of the Blue Ridge Mountains known as Jewell Hollow. The primary timber frame is a unique duplex cabin (Bumble Bee / Dragon Fly cabins) cleverly designed with no walls shared between the two independent dwellings. The duplex has an observation tower, which provides a striking view of the ridge line and surrounding forest for guests to enjoy. The Butterfly is Shadow Mountain Escape’s newest addition. The stand-alone unit is the most secluded, resting on the second level of the timber frame “salt box” barn structure. Family reunion and wedding specials are available, as well as weekly rates.
